The film
Sitaron Ka Shehar (सितारों का शहर)
Arjun comes to Mumbai from a small town in Rajasthan with one suitcase and a notebook full of film dialogues. Meera teaches dance in a chawl and will not let anyone write her story for her. Between them stand a rich rival, a strict father and a city that eats dreams for breakfast. There are songs, a big wedding and one last audition.

Male, 45 to 60. Meera's father, strict at the door, soft at the table.

Female, 18 to 26. Meera's best friend and the loudest laugh in every scene.
Taxi Chacha
Male, 50 to 70. Drives Arjun across Mumbai and gives free advice.
Dance troupe
Female and male, 18 to 30. For the wedding song and the title track.
The chawl gang
Female and male, 18 to 25. Arjun's roommates and neighbours.
Audition

Questions
Do I need acting experience?
No. Most of the roles are for new faces. If you can read the dialogue with feeling, that is enough for the first step.
Is the audition free?
Yes. Recording, sending and the screen test cost nothing. If anyone asks you to pay for a role or a portfolio in our name, it is not us.
Should I read in Hindi or English?
Choose the language you speak most comfortably. The film is in Hindi, but a confident English reading tells us as much as a nervous Hindi one.

Are the roles paid?
Yes. The fee depends on the role and the number of shooting days, and it is written in the contract before shooting starts.

We call only the people whose voice fits a role. If we have not called, your recording stays with the casting team for other roles in this film.
Can people under 18 apply?
Not through this page. All roles here are for people aged 18 and over.
